Greece Pindus Bikepacking 2021

In many ways, this felt like a homecoming trip.Back in 2017 I was backpacking around the Balkans, and found myself hiking around Meteora in Greece. Somewhere up there, I bumped into a German lady called Heike (aka Pushbike Girl). She was travelling by bike, something I'd never before. When I asked her where she'd come from, she replied 'Germany' and it blew my mind. I'd never heard of someone cycling so far!I asked where she was heading to and she replied, 'Australia'. SAY WHAT!?It was that chance encountered that sowed a seed in my mind, and the following year I set off from London on my bike - headed to Australia myself.
